Key Responsibilities and Staffing Focus
- Conduct patient histories, examinations, assessments, and follow-up visits within authorized scope.
- Develop and manage treatment plans and coordinate referrals as appropriate.
- Order diagnostic tests and prescribe medications when authorized by law and applicable practice arrangements.
- Document evaluations, clinical decisions, and outcomes accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams and support preventive care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current RN license and NP authorization or certification applicable to the state and specialty.
- Graduate degree from an appropriately accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- National certification in the relevant population focus or specialty, when required.
- Prescriptive authority and controlled-substance registration when applicable.
- Successful credentialing, privileging, background checks, and facility-specific requirements.
